Who are we?

- Prosper Basketball is a Nonprofit organization that prioritizes development of key skills AND having the most enjoyable experience in our coaching philosophy.

Why we're different?

- First recreation league to implement "incentives" to step out of your comfort zone. A lot of young athletes continue doing the same moves, shots, and layups that they are most comfortable doing in games, but don't seek to challenge themselves to help grow themselves as players. Our solution? Introduce and run drills on a certain skill in practice, for example, left hand layups. Then, offer an incentive, as every left hand layup is worth 3 points, instead of 2. This will encourage kids to not only attempt things they aren't comfortable with, but help instill confidence in each player.

- Due to EXTREMELY high demand, we have implemented a "4 point line" into our league. Since we live in the heart of the Bay Area, it's almost impossible to ignore the influence Stephen Curry has had on the youth today. We are here to embrace that.

- At the end of every season, we host an "All Star Weekend" event, where players can compete in all kinds of events, such as The Skills Challenge, 3 Point Contest, Free Throw Contest, and tons of prizes!

Rules and Important Information

- Practices and games will be hosted at the indoor gym at Pioneer High School

- Two 20 minute halves, no shot clock, 5 minute overtime, all players get even playing time

- Experienced coaches and referees

- 9 week season starting at the beginning of August

- Jersey's are $25.00 if player has not played in our league before. Payments will be accepted at the first practice/game.

- Boys and girls both welcomed!
